NotesSo, the spot that I like to refer to as the \Subway\ is also the real deal. There is a pourover about 15 feet river right of the Po Dunk rock. I found that if you ferry about 2 feet river left of the rock forming the pourover with about a foot and half of your bow into the green water and let that green water load your bow you can get amazing rides here. I had four or five 15+ second rides here. I don\t think this spot will go much below 3.65 though but I will continue to experiment. The regular spot was also giving up great rides. However, I kept hitting the eddy walls which were a pain to fight through. In two 45 minute sessions I only had few rides where I was able to chill and enjoy the bubbles.

NotesThe bottom limit has been reached. JohnBell, Stro & I went out there late this afternoon. We all got our heads wet but no one got under consistently and Johns deepest ride was 3 feet. So Id say not worth going here below 3.10 and the 3.10-3.25 range is iffy. Definitely good to go above 3.30; looks like the optimum range is 3.35-3.55 with the 3.4s being the best of the best.

NotesStill searching for the lowest level for this spot! Went out with low expectations and was really (very) pleasantly surprised. The drop zone has moved. My first 15 minutes were frustrating as I was using the go close to the rock charc. Then I decided to try something different - I went ever so slightly upstream of where the rock slopes into the water and 1-2 feet out from the rock and BINGO - there was the drop zone. I got the best rides Ive gotten there so far, but would have been really curious to see what someone with superior skills could have done at that level. (I was by myself). This place continues to be a quintessential squirt spot: beautiful scenery and secluded (during the 2 hours I was there I saw a total of 3 other boaters). The water temperature was still refreshing, there was a nice breeze and a beautiful red-tailed hawk frequently soared overhead. So the question remains: how low can it go??? --Sarah

NotesI think I am going to call it low at 3.2. Had another good session last night but really had to force the issue more than I like to stay down and get depth. Not sure I would travel several hours for anything below 3.3 for this spot. Not sure of the upper limit, however I do know that the whirlpool starts to work you a little at levels above 3.6.

NotesGaining popularity--Robert Gu, Sarah A and Risa were also at the New Realm. 3.31 was no different from 3.36. Where oh where will she drop out?...enquiring zombies want to know. Only took my like 20 attempts, but the spot locator is now correct for maps option.

NotesI think this spot is starting to lose a little bit of its pull at this level. Still had a great session and 10+ depth, but for the first time in 3 days there were no 20 second rides. Closed the session with an 18 second one though. Hoping to give her another go tomorrow with even a little less flow. Still, it looks like we are closing in the on the lower limit. Yesterday at 3.41 was defintely a 10!

NotesThe whirlpool was much more manageable today--you can fight your way through it consistently which will give you depth. Sarah A and I were both getting great rides! Finished out the day with a 24 sec. followed by a 27 sec. ride and was down 14 feet on the last one--still have not found bottom here and starting to think I dont want to--lots of compression on that last ride!!

NotesAnother Great session at a higher level--beware the tractor beam that can sometimes grab you here--no up button malfunctions, but was dropping what felt like a foot with every spin--I had enough at 12 feet--could have kept going if I had bigger balls. Added directions from Marsden Track Pull Off today as well.

NotesI was finally able to get out to checkout the whirlpools at the lower levels. This spot now borders on epic. Head under 8 out of 10 rides, good depth on 3 out of 10 rides. The rides really vary with travel as well and you can enter just about anywhere with good success. Longest rides were in the 15-20 second range. I am thinking it may get even better with lower levels--kind of like the Alley at higher levels--you run out of eddyline quickly with the flow. 15 seconds would give you close to 80 feet of travel. Planning to head back out tomorrow as well. So awesome to have a quality Realm while waiting for Bermuda to come in!!

NotesOf note John and I did try the whirlpools out without much luck. The Eddyline next to the Island is where we were getting the goods.
